Desk or overnight USB-C
Start with a 60W-capable adapter. The box includes a 1 m USB-C cable, so buy another only if you need a different length or a spare. Check per-port output on multiport adapters.

For the fastest published result, start with a 60W-capable USB-C adapter and the cable in the box. For magnetic convenience, Apple lists MagSafe charging with a 35W or higher adapter. Qi2 25W docks can be useful, but physical fit in every folded position needs a real device check.
The wattage on a charger is a capability, not a promise that the phone will draw that much power all the time. Choose by how you will use the phone.
| Path | What to look for | Best reason to choose it | What remains uncertain |
|---|---|---|---|
| USB-C wired | 60W-capable or higher USB-C adapter; Apple includes a 1 m USB-C Charge Cable | Apple's fastest published 50% result, around 20 minutes | Real-world heat, battery level and use affect speed |
| Apple MagSafe | MagSafe Charger paired with 35W or higher adapter | Magnetic alignment with Apple's published 50% result, around 30 minutes | How the charger sits with Duo open or folded |
| Qi2 25W | Check the dock's Qi2 25W rating, supplied adapter, and device clearance | A stand, travel dock or multi-device station | 25W is a maximum rating; fit and delivered speed require testing |
Prelaunch note: We have not performed hands-on fit or charging-speed tests with iPhone Duo. A magnetic connection alone does not prove a stand will support the phone open, folded or in a case.
Apple lists the Duo as 164.6 × 117.8 mm open and 84.1 × 117.8 mm folded. Our free, printable outlines let you compare those outside dimensions with the space around a charger, shelf or mount. The outline cannot locate the charging coil or prove magnetic hold.

See USB-C adaptersApple's MagSafe Charger is the straightforward reference point. Qi2 25W stands add an angle or a second device, though the fold and camera clearance matter.
Compare pads and standsFor a bag, compare packed size, adapter inclusion and whether a dock serves a Watch or earbuds. For a battery, distinguish USB-C output from the speed at which the bank itself recharges.
Browse travel chargingCheck whether a magnetic pad, stand or car mount clears the hinge, camera area and both postures.
Try the actual case and ensure the magnetic position is stable. A maximum charging rating does not prove alignment.
Check the included adapter, per-port ratings and charging behavior at different battery levels. Compare with Apple's stated test conditions.
For Apple's fastest published wired figure, use a 60W-capable adapter or higher with a USB-C cable. A lower-rated charger may still charge the phone, but it does not meet that stated setup.
No. The label is the charger's maximum capability. Actual power depends on the phone, alignment, adapter, temperature and charge level.
We cannot verify that before hands-on testing. Check clearance, weight support and return terms; a listing that says “compatible” may only address the charging standard.
If speed matters most, begin with a 60W-capable USB-C adapter and cable. If convenience matters more, compare Apple's MagSafe option with a Qi2 25W stand suited to your desk or travel routine.
